As the most authentic village of the resort, Tignes les Brévières is a dream place. At the foot of the reservoir, at an altitude of 1550 meters high, this traditional village immerses you in a mountain atmosphere with its beautiful wood and stone chalets in a natural setting benefiting from scenic wooded areas and a magnetic river. Tignes 1800: the newest village of the resort

Tignes 1800 reuses the traditional Savoyard architecture with beautiful luxurious wood and stone chalets. The particularity of this village is that it has been rebuilt entirely in 2013 and organised around its church, which is a reproduction from the one in the old village, drowned by the reservoir waters.

It is one of Tignes’ villages particularly appreciated by families for its proximity to the slopes, its tranquility and its top of the range services. Indeed, Tignes 1800 is recognised for its friendly and family atmosphere offering recent and luxurious properties.

Tignes le Lavachet : a quiet place

Standing at 2100 meters high, one of the highest points in Tignes, Lavachet is a quiet place whilst being close to all amenities. It’s a modern area which was largely rebuilt in the 1960s. As a result, the architectural style of Tignes le Lavachet is characterised by modern and functional buildings, typical of the 60s and 70s.

Tignes le Lavachet benefits from direct proximity with Tignes le Lac and Tignes Val Claret thanks to free shuttle buses available in the resort. As a result, this location in Tignes combines calm and skiing with a large number of ski lifts available ski-in, ski-out.

Tignes le Lac: the heart of the resort

At the heart of the resort, Tignes le Lac offers all the amenities you will need: shopping, sports center, restaurants, ice rink, wellness area, food shops... This area offers calm for relaxation on the terrace whilst being close to all shops for entertainment.

The Tignes - Sotheby's International Realty agency is taking advantage of this ideal location within the resort to open here its agency.

At 2100 meters high, the view from this location is spectacular between the lake and the surrounding mountains.

Tignes le Lac is a mix of modern and traditional buildings. Modern buildings are made of concrete and flat roofs, while traditional buildings are made of wood and stones.

Tignes Val Claret : Tignes by night

Known for its nightlife, Tignes Val Claret is the highest village in the resort, at 2300 meters high. Based at the bottom of the Grande Motte glacier, this area of Tignes offers direct access to the slopes, summer and winter, thanks to its ski lift linking the village to the glacier.

Val Claret has the same architectural style as Tignes le Lac with a different layout, the buildings here are aligned along the main streets to create an urban atmosphere.

To conclude, there isn’t one best location to stay in Tignes. It really depends on what you are looking for, being close to all amenities, calm, nature or nightlife. Tignes has it all.
